Brunswick County Planning Board Public Hearing Notice (House Bill 1222 Text Amendments)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Brunswick County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on September 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Chambers of the David R. Sandifer Administration Building, located at 30 Government Center Drive, Brunswick County Government Center. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment and make a recommendation regarding proposed Ordinance Text Amendments to the Brunswick County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), pursuant to the applicable provisions of Article 6 of North Carolina General Statute Chapter 160D, as follows:
- UDO Text Amendments incorporating the provisions of Session Law 2026-30 (HB 1222) into the Ordinance, including:
- General text amendments addressing grammar and spelling errors;
- Amendments to Article 2, Decision Making and Administrative Bodies,
- Amendments to Article 3, Common Review and Approval Procedures,
- Amendments to Article 6, Design and Performance Standards,
- Amendments to Article 9 Administration and Enforcement
